COUNCILLOR Adrian Hardman (Evening News, July 18) says that rebuilding and reorganising schools in Wyre Forest could be "funded by capital money and, with the option to borrow and use PFIs, we have always been confident we will be able to afford whatever the consequences of the study are".
St John's parents should ask: "Why is it different for Chrissies?"
Unlike Wyre Forest, Worcestershire County Council knows what is required to revamp Chrissies, where it stands, and if it could be honest would admit to knowing the public mood, too.
However, the story is also depressingly familiar. The county council appears to have made up its mind before consulting the public and, just as he has no idea how much money has been wasted wooing Tesco, Julien Kramer has no idea what the Wyre Forest plans would cost.
PAUL SAUNDERS,
Worcester.
