REVITALISING Great Malvern will be on the agenda at a meeting next week.
The Town Centre Partnership, backed by Malvern Hills District Council, will hold its first meeting next Thursday to discuss plans for the town.
Suggestions to be discussed include the pedestrianisation of Church Street and moving the Post Office, from the top of Church Street, to make the site a marketplace or similar.
The partnership is a group made up of councillors, traders and those involved with tourism in the town.
Key aims for the group include attracting investment in Malvern, developing partnerships and realising improvements.
After the initial meeting, a public discussion will be held at Priory Lodge Hall on Monday, September 15, for members of the public to express their views on the proposals.
Council leader Tom Wells said: "It is essential that ways are found to revitalise Great Malvern, not only for local shopkeepers but for the economic wellbeing of the town.
"This meeting will begin the process of formulating proposals to go out for consultation with the public."
"It is vital that local people play a full and meaningful part in the process."
