THERE'S to be no new Memory Lane souvenir book this year, but Volume 11 is planned for next winter.
However, there's no need to be disappointed because, instead, the sister newspaper of the Evening News - the world's oldest newspaper Berrow's Worcester Journal - is publishing a special millennium souvenir in similar format to the Memory Lane books.
A Century of Memories takes a comprehensive look at the past 100 years and, with a host of old photographs, records how the events, joys, tragedies, horrors and heroism of the 20th Century affected life in and around Worcester.
The book, making an ideal gift for Christmas, is available at the Evening News offices in Hylton Road and Angel Place, Worcester, and the Malvern Gazette in Broads Bank, Malvern. It costs £3.50.
