FORMER Kidderminster Harriers players Abdou Sall and Daire Doyle both started for Nuneaton Borough in the Conference at the weekend.
But Nuneaton lost 2-0 at home to Leigh RMI and are in deep relegation trouble, despite numerous recent additions.
Doyle spent a spell on loan at Manor Park earlier this year and was expected to sign for Steve Burr's side.
But the move of Sall was more of a surprise and the big French defender made quite a positive impression on Nuneaton's fans.
Burr said: "Abdou is a defender who has caught my eye in recent weeks and he is a powerful player who will be influential at the back.
"Daire has been with us for the past month and hopefully there will be much more from him now that he has joined us permanently."
Both players were released by Harriers last month after being fringe figures all season.
