BROMSGROVE Hockey Club Men's First XI captain Julian Court has warned his players not to get carried away with their excellent start to the season.

Court's side won 4-2 at basement side Kynoch last Saturday, moving them up to second in West Midlands One with four wins from six games.

He said: "We were comfortable winners and we were by far the better side. It's nice to be second but we do not want to get carried away."

Bromsgrove took the lead against Kynoch through Markus Veith froma short corner but were pegged back to 1-1 despite the hosts temporarily being reduced to nine men via the sin bin.

Bevan Edwards restored Bromsgrove's lead before half time but again Kyncoh, back to full strength, were level soon after the break.

It needed two Ben Husbands goals in the second half for the visitors to pull away and take three points.
