A GOAL three minutes from time ensured Bromsgrove Hockey Club Ladies Second XI continued their unbeaten record this season with a 2-1 home win against Cresconians.
A tense first half remained goalless thanks to a fantastic reaction save by Bromsgrove goalkeeper Isabel Hyde.
Bromsgrove started quickly in the second half and scored almost immediately from the push-back when passing by the forwards created an opening for Libby Joss to strike the ball ferociously from the edge of the 'D'.
The hosts had a second goal disallowed from Louise Clarke before Cresconians levelled soon after from a short corner and were unlucky not to add a second when Helen Bagshawe put in an excellent tackle after a visiting player had rounded goalkeeper Hyde.
Bromsgrove got the winner with three minutes left when Amanda Johnson scored from a short corner.
