Redditch Swimming Club won their Second Round Gala in the West Midlands Speedo League.
Having travelled to Chesterfield, the team were determined not to let the long journey interfere with their winning ways after finding success in the first round.
The swimmers performed superbly from the off with Laura Cranshaw and Craig Newton both coming second in the Open Age 100m individual medley.
Rachael Jones also came second in the Open Age 100m fly. Jamie MacKay was third in the open 100m free with Nikki Cranshaw fourth in the open 100m back.
Matt Hooper swam Open 100m back with Michael Wood and Stuart MacKay competiting in the relays.
In the youngest age group, Nicola Strange and Dan Ruckwood both claimed maximum points in first place in the 50m free with Jessica Nice a fine third place in the 50m back.
Robert Stanley and Daniel Constant both finished fifth in the 50m breast and fly. Emma Green, Danielle Harwood and James Green competed in the relays. Redditch continued to amass points and were leading at the halfway stage.
The under-13 swimmers kept up the pressure with first places for Vicki Crisp in the 100m free, Alex Munsey in the 100m back and Sam Holtom in the 100m fly and free.
Lucy Edwards took fourth place in the 100m fly while Liam Chapman swam 100m breast. Nicola Perry and Richard Fleeman joined their teammates in the relays.
There were first places for Francesca Carlson in the under-15 100m back and free and Sarah Holtom in the 100m fly. Scott Newton swam fly and free for the boys.
As the gala entered its final quarter, Redditch led by one point but with four first place finishes in a row followed by two in the relays, they finished in first place.
