THE chairman of the Feckenham and District Macmillan Cancer Relief Committee has thanked Tesco customers for helping to raise nearly £1,800 in a recent collection.
David Hunt said: "I am delighted to say that the sum total raised was £1,777 which will all be spent within Worcestershire to help improve the lives of those with cancer whether as patients or their families.
"The people of Redditch have once more shown themselves to be caring and generous and we of the local committee of Macmillan Cancer Relief want them to know how grateful we are."
Mr Hunt also thanked the management of Tesco's Oakenshaw store for allowing them to hold the collection.
