BROMSGROVE Rovers' FA Cup run has seen their bank balance swell to the tune of £13,000.
Figures released by the Victoria Ground club, recently out of administration, will make good reading for directors and fans alike following Rovers' six-game stay in the famous cup competition.
Money has come from both results and gate receipts.
The adventure finally came to an end with a 2-1 final qualifying round defeat at Whitby Town, which would have netted the club a further £10,000.
Chairman Tom Herbert said the money would ease the club's financial burden, adding: "The prize money is very good but the gates were disappointing.
"What with having come out of administration it's fantastic to have that sort of money coming in. It's not so long since we were within half an hour of folding if the Midland Alliance hadn't accepted us."
George Rooney's side also has the distinction of being the last Dr Martens Western team left in this season's FA Cup.
Rovers' best run since 1997 began in the preliminary round with a 4-0 win at Cradley Town, which earned £1,000 in prize money.
A 1-0 win at Studley in the first qualifying round was worth a further £2,250, and a 2-0 win at Hednesford Town in the second qualifying round poured an extra £3,750 into the club coffers.
That was followed by a welcome £5,000 as Rovers sealed a 2-0 victory at Congleton Town in the third qualifying round.
However, a slight loss was made on Whitby Town's visit in the final qualifying round as Rovers had to pay the Unibond Premier side's travelling and accommodation expenses.
Rovers are on the lookout for volunteers to lend a hand at the club.
An assistant groundsman is required as are people to help tidy up the ground on match days. Help in selling golden goal tickets would also be welcomed.
Anyone able to help can call in at the Victoria Ground, in Birmingham Road, or call the commercial office on 01527 876949.
