Kings Norton 37
Bromyard 9
KINGS Norton produced a convincing performance, despite missing influential skipper Peter May.
Bromyard did make life difficult for the Ash Lane outfit in the first half by keeping in touch with two well-taken penalties in reply to the hosts' three tries - the scores coming from scrum half Martin Hefford, No.8 Richard Revell and full-back John Hefford.
After the break, Bromyard briefly threatened to cause an upset when they pulled another three points back with their third well-struck penalty just five minutes after the restart.
This spurred Norton into action and full-back Hefford repeated his first half score by gathering his own fine chip ahead to score the touch down.
The home pack were strengthened when prop forward Kevin Edwards came on for Phil Turner and Andy Williams replaced Paul McGlynn in the back row.
This resulted in No 8 Richard Revell adding two more tries from set pieces and prop Guy Walton crashing over on full-time to complete the rout of their Herefordshire visitors.
