For our October meeting we invited Hilary Twigg, a lecturer from Pershore College, who gave a talk on preparation for winter.
Hilary passed on lots of advice and information on how best to treat our plants in order to help them survive the winter weather and hopefully bounce back the following year.
It was all given in a most relaxed and informal style with questions put to her both during and after the talk and was most enjoyable and enlightening.
Our next meeting will be held tomorrow (Thursday) at 8pm in the Friends Meeting House, Sandhills Road, Barnt Green. New members and visitors most welcome. The speaker will be Keith Newnham on the subject of wonderful gardens (Duffryn, Exbury and Chatsworth).
