TWO beauty spots are flying the flag for Bromsgrove after being awarded top environmental gongs.
Waseley Hills and Lickey Hills country parks were both winners at the Green Flag Awards ceremony, held in Stratford-upon Avon last Thursday.
The coveted Green Flag Award recognises excellent standards of park management, which contributes to the quality of life of the surrounding community.
The Civic Trust's Karen Lewis said: "The Green Flag Award scheme is going from strength to strength, which is just fantastic.
"Green spaces play a vital role for the quality of life and civic pride and there is an increasing awareness, at all levels, of their value. The Green Flag is the benchmark for parks," she added.
Worcestershire County Council manages Waseley Hills Country Park, while Birmingham City Council is responsible for Lickey Hills Country Park.
