FOODIES flocked to the reopening of a revamped supermarket.
There were queues of shoppers waiting outside the newly-refurbished ASDA supermarket, ready to hit the aisles at 9am last Thursday.
The Market Street store had been closed since November 1, during which time workmen installed ten new tills, widened the aisles and added a host of other features.
District council chairman Councillor John Tidmarsh reopened the store, along with some of ASDA's longest serving members of staff.
The store also celebrated receiving a top award from ASDA headquarters, which recognised the good relationship it has with the community it trades with.
General manager Wayne Isaac said: "This award is a real honour and proves that we are much more than just a supermarket to the people of Bromsgrove."
