HARDWORKING staff at a Bromsgrove museum are celebrating after scooping a top award.
Avoncroft Museum of Historic Buildings, in Stoke Heath, has won the visitors attraction quality assurance award from the English Tourism Council.
The site was visited by a secret assessor who looked at everything from the quality of the sandwiches in the tearoom, to how the buildings were looked after and landscaping at the site.
In his findings the assessor said Avoncroft offered a very good visitor experience with friendly and enthusiastic staff.
Dr Simon Penn, from the museum, said: "We are really pleased to have won this award. We only have a small team of staff and volunteers so to get external recognition for all their hard work is brilliant.
"The assessment was also very favourable about how we look after and protect the buildings, the site layout and how tidy it is."
