CHAMPIONS Lickey Monarchs continue to lead the Bromsgrove and Redditch Table Tennis League division one after a comfortable 9-1 victory over SPSP.
Mervyn Wood and Sid Hodgetts won their three games for the Monarchs while Lester Winterbourne got SPSP's vonsolation.
Elsewhere, Astwood Bank won a close encounter with West Midland Phones B 6-4 with Jim Connor, Ken Southwell and David Wood all winning two games for the Bank.
Droitwich A won the derby with Droitwich B 7-3 while Carter Retail A just got home 6-4 against Barnt Green. Mick Kendall and Gary Jackson both won two for Carter with Terry Rawlings getting one.
West Midland Phones A were no match at home to Barnt Green A, losing 9-1. Captain Mark Cornish and Pat McCabe were unbeatable for the Green, both winning three and the doubles.
The closest game in division two saw Droitwich C edged out 6-4 by Hillcrest. Graeme Farrell starred for Hillcrest with three singles victories.
Division two leaders Studley Road Terriers thrashed Lickey Roc's 9-1 with captain Peter Hartles and Mike Kirwan both winning three for Studley and John Dignum getting two.
Barnt Green C beat Studley Road Nomads 8-2, with Sasha Grokhotov winning three for the Green, while Bernie Leech and Jeff Lines won one apiece for the Nomads.
West Midland Phones C won 7-3 at Barnt Green Hornets. Fred Harris won his three signles with Ian Maybury getting two.
