RESIDENTS of Redditch and the surrounding area came together on Sunday to remember those who fell in battle, this year's ceremonies tinged with more poignancy following the recent Iraq War.
The town's Sea Cadets' band led the parade of veterans and other uniformed organisations to the war memorial outside St Stephen's Church and a minute's silence was also held in the Kingfisher Centre yesterday.
Villages around Redditch such as Studley, Astwood Bank and Wythall also held their own separate parades and ceremonies.
