I AM a skateboarder and because of the recent removal of the quarter pipe ramp at Church Hill, myself and other skaters are now left without a place to skate.
Because of this, we have to go to Winyates skatepark but due to the nights drawing in, we don't have enough time to finish school and travel there before it gets dark.
This seems pointless as the ramp at Church Hill was sufficent.
I was using the quarter pipe ramp when it was removed last week. I asked why it was being removed and was told 'because people just wreck it'.
The ramp was in good enough condition to be used at the time.
It has been used almost continuoslouly since the day it was put there.
I think it's unfair it has been removed due to non-skateboarders trying to vandalise it.
Every local skateboarder is annoyed by its removal so I therefore ask, on behalf of all Church Hill skaters, that the ramp be returned.
