A CHEF at a Redditch sheltered housing scheme could become Care Chef of the Year after making it to the final five.
Liz Forty has worked at Terry Spring Court since it opened in Smallwood three years ago.
Her manager Ginny Larkin nominated her to magazine The Caring Times and residents at the West Avenue scheme also had some input.
Miss Forty took part in a cook-off at Westminster College in London in October and will be going to the capital's Hilton hotel on Saturday, November 29, when the winner of her category and others will be announced.
She said: "It is an honour to get down to the final because the other finalists are from all over the country but to win would be the ultimate honour in the care industry."
Meanwhile, there will be stalls and entertainment in store when a fete is held at Terry Spring Court this month.
The event takes place on Saturday, November 29, from 2.30-4pm.
Terry Spring Court chef Liz Forty is in the running to win a prestigious award.
