CHILDREN from two Redditch schools are set to sing their way into the record books next month.
Youngsters at Webheath First and Dingleside Middle schools will take part in the World's Biggest Sing.
The event is being held to raise cash for Sargent Cancer Care for Children. It will be at 2.45pm on December 1, which is the start of Children's Cancer Month.
The 2002 record involved 83,637 children from more than 1,100 schools but it is hoped a million youngsters will take part in the World's Biggest Sing 2003.
Julia Jones, of Sargent Cancer Care for Children, said: "This is a tremendous event, bringing children together from all around Britain to help the charity.
"It would be fantastic if we could shatter last year's record and raise £100,000."
Schools interested in taking part can call 0800 085 2010 to register.
