ALCESTER Amateur Operatic Society will be pulling out all the stops for their 40th anniversary show next week.
Their 40 Years of Music promises to be one of their best shows yet as they pull together some showstoppers from the past four decades in a single performance starting on Thursday.
The ever-changing cast since the society started in 1963 have performed some magical musicals including Me and My Girl, Oklahoma, Calamity Jane and Annie.
And even some former members have rejoined the group for one last performance on stage.
All three secondary schools, Alcester High, Alcester Grammar and St Benedict's High schools, are also involved in the spectacular event which runs until Saturday, November 22, at the Greig Centre.
Special guest performances from the Jane Gibson School of Dance and Rutleigh Norris School of Dance will add to the excitement, making it a night to remember.
The Saturday show will take the form of a cabaret-style evening performance and will include catering.
Tickets for the Thursday and Friday shows cost £7.50 (£5 for under 16s) with tickets for the Saturday special costing £10 which will include a meal.
Tickets are available from Steven Woodley Estate Agents in the High Street, on 764768, or from Cynthia Hill on 763446.
