A CIDER maker has struck gold at an international festival.
Weston's Cider, based at Much Marcle, near Ledbury, has scooped a Gold award for the second year running at the Beer and Cider Festival, in Stockholm, Sweden.
The firm won the medal in the competition's draught medium dry section for its biggest selling cider, Stowford Press, which has an alcohol content of 4.5 per cent and is matured in old oak vats.
"Stowford Press, our largest selling cider, has shown tremendous growth over recent years and we are delighted that our products continue to be recognised for their quality in both UK and international competitions," said Roger Jackson, director of sales at Weston's Cider.
"Achieving this Gold Award demonstrates that our continued commitment to the quality of our products pays off."
