THERE is a busy week ahead for Ipsley Middle School with some European visitors arriving and a special concert.
The Winyates Way school will be welcoming teachers and pupils from three schools in Sicily, Majorca and Portugal as part of a friendship initiative called the Comenius Project.
It will be the first opportunity the school has had to meet its new European friends and a range of visits to places of interest have been arranged.
The schools' heads will also be planning a meeting to discuss a programme of cultural and educational links for the academic year ahead.
On Saturday Arrow Valley Brass Band, which supports a brass group at the school led by Joanna Hattersley, will be performing at the school at 7.30pm.
Ipsley Middle School's choir will also be taking part. Tickets are available on 525725.
All proceeds from the concert will go to support musical activities at the school.
Arrow Valley Brass Band has also started a second youth band for older children at Trinity High School.
The group, led by Helen Roberts, is free and open to all.
Call Dave Stanley on 852485 for details.
