STRONG adults and children proved they had plenty of pulling power at a charity day.
The adults heaved a lorry across the Droitwich British Legion headquarters in Salwarpe Road, while the youngsters achieved the same feat with a Mini.
"The children really enjoyed it and pulled the Mini faster than the adults pulled the lorry. It took about five minutes to pull both," said Andy Tuzzio, the president of the Droitwich Royal British Legion, which organised the day in aid of the Poppy Appeal.
A firework display and a disco also took place at Saturday's event.
"Families and children came to the disco and they had a fantastic night," said Mr Tuzzio.
The disco raised £113, but the final figure of the event won't be known until all sponsors and donations for the day are received.
"Expectations are that it will be another good year for Droitwich Royal British Legion," added Mr Tuzzio.
