CIVIC SOCIETY: A chance to view the new Birmingham Bullring centre in all it's festive decoration, to assess the shopping availability and the innovative architecture can be made easy with a visit now organised by the Civic Society. An optional preview of the refurbished church within the site to which the Birmingham Civic Society has given the Forward accolade for 2003, takes about 20 minutes. The coach will leave Safeway car park, 9am on Wednesday, December 3 and leave the centre at 4pm, cost £7, non-members welcome. Phone or leave a message on Evesham 443943.
ART SOCIETY: The October demonstration by Brian Fletcher, RBSA, more than matched expectations. His Scottish mountains landscape in paint, ink and wax resist was beautifully colourful and gave members a fresh outlook. This month on November 19 something unusual - an embroidery and collage demonstration by Sally Brookes, ARBSA.
There will be no December meeting, Christmas lunch on December 17, bookings should be in by November 22.
Evesham Art Society meets at The Friends' Meeting House, Cowl Street, at 7.15pm for 7.30pm on the third Wednesday of each month except December. Non-members welcomed - entrance £2 to include coffee and biscuits.
