HOCKEY: A high-scoring encounter consigned Stourport to their first Worcestershire League Division One defeat of the season.
Stourport lost 5-3 at home to Droitwich, despite scoring first through Kate Bailey who was set up by Melissa Kennedy's rampaging run and pass.
But Droitwich levelled quickly and went ahead only for Bailey to make it 2-2 with four minutes of the half to go.
The visitors romped away with the clash with three goals in a 10-minute spell but Stourport continued to press.
They earned a penalty flick but with regular taker Fran Long injured, Bailey's shot was saved. Kennedy reduced the deficit with eight minutes left.
