HOCKEY: Matt Boden crashed home seven goals as Chaddesley Corbett recorded their first West Midlands League Division Two victory of the season in style on Sunday.
Chaddesley thrashed Aston University 9-2 with Boden rediscovering the touch that has made him top scorer in the last two seasons.
Their finishing from short corners made the difference with five goals coming from them.
Jim Webster and Nick Hemmings were the other two Chaddesley scorers, while Aston scored in each half but wasted many chances when up against in-form goalkeeper Ivor Allchurch.
Chaddesley had suffered a heavy 6-1 defeat at Ludlow on Saturday with a disappointing display after failing to capitalise on a good start.
They missed a penalty flick and were 3-0 down by half-time as Boden's second-half strike was in vain.
Fixture, Saturday: Chaddesley Corbett v Oswestry.
