HOCKEY: A young Stourport Badgers side came out deserved 2-1 winners against Worcester for their second victory in three weeks over the near neighbours.
It was a close contest as Ben Carless' short corner and an opportunist goal from Calum Wilson rewarded a spirited display.
Marshalled by Fran Long, there were good performances from 11-year-olds Seb Vale, Aiden Cawley and Eton Sztybel. Kyle Carr, 14, showed why he is a good prospect for the future.
An older Stourport Badgers White side won 3-1 at Redditch.
Giles Colwill scored two goals and Nick Hubbard added the third to give Stourport a deserved win.
There were good performances by Matt Hill, James Morgan, Luke Elderton, Alex Brookes, Adam Leeke and Olly Butler, while keeper Toby Eslyck was outstanding.
