DEFENDER Dale Evans tried his hand in goal due to Bewdley Town's goalkeeper crisis but they still beat Tenbury United 3-0 in West Midlands League Division One South.
Bewdley were without injured keepers Jim Pickett and Mark Foster, while Tom Stewart was unavailable.
But they still piled on the pressure from the start with keeper Byron Davies called into action on just 10 minutes to save from Chris Hough.
Town, who had to bring in Terry Hughes for Dave Knight who has a broken ankle, then saw Ben McCloughlan's shot cleared off the line.
Evans was forced to make a good stop on 15 minutes from an Aaron Morris attempt.
But Bewdley went ahead on 25 minutes when Neil Turford flicked on a long clearance to Paul Edwards who finished from 18 yards.
Hough added a second by running from inside his own half before shooting past Davies late in the first period.
Tenbury hit the bar but Town's man-of-the-match McCloughlan sealed victory when he chipped the ball over two defenders and fired an unstoppable shot into the net.
Paul Brothers, in his first appearance for Bewdley in three years, set up Keith Elliot whose shot was well saved.
Sub Paul Field was sent off for foul and abusive language to the assistant referee without even getting onto the pitch.
Bewdley's players are asked to meet at the Waggon and Horses pub for 12.45pm when they visit Ludlow on Saturday.
