SOLID Chaddesley Corbett considered their West Midlands League Division One South goal-less draw with Cradley Town Reserves was two points dropped.
They started impressively against well-organised opposition with Matt Baynton twice striking the woodwork within five minutes and forcing a finger-tip save from Cradley's keeper.
Craig Pratt and Ian Middleton, making his full debut in attack, were also denied by good stops, while Chaddesley had an effort disallowed for pushing.
The defence of Lee Strain, the recalled Steve Lowe and man-of-the-match Brian Burton kept the strikers at bay with keeper Ian Harvey not having a real save to make.
Harvey, who has only conceded four goals in the last five games, said: "We have looked solid at the back and teams are finding it hard to break us down.
"We need to be more clinical at the other end, however, and perhaps just need that little bit of luck."
Three attacking subs were made in Ted Baylis, Jamie Williams and former Cradley player Adrian Passey but none could open the scoring.
The two teams meet again at Cradley on Saturday with Chaddesley's players asked to meet at their opponents' ground by 1.45pm.
