WHAT a pathetically poor show for the Remembrance Day service at St Mary's
Church, Kidderminster, on Sunday.
How disgusting that the council could not see fit to stop the traffic on the ring road - if not for the whole service at least for the period of silence.
One had to stand there and remember one's friends and others with the roar of lorries, buses and cars rushing by.
Would it have been too much effort to have two police officers contacted by radio at each end of the road and halting traffic? Would it have been too much for motorists to wait for one minute?
Though there was a super turnout by the forces and public, I felt the actual ceremony was too short, rushed and really contained nothing to uplift and stir the feelings and emotions that should have be felt.
