PERSHORE High School booked a place in the fourth round of the National Under-14s Schools Cup after a 3-2 victory over Solihull HS.
Dane Aldington was the hero after smacking in a stunning volley from 25 yards to seal victory after a tremendously hard-fought tussle.
Chris Ridings had earlier opened the scoring but the visitors hit back within two minutes from the penalty spot.
A mix-up in the Pershore defence gifted Solihull a second but the hosts came out with all guns blazing after the break and their pressure finally paid off when George Lavis made it 2-2.
It was left to Aldington to come up with a cracker of a winner to seal Pershore's progress.
Aldington and Lavis also found the net in the previous round when Baxter College from Kidd-erminster were defeated 4-1.
A third goal from Sam Hickes left Pershore cruising at 3-0 but they switched off after the break and the visitors reduced the deficit.
There were several other let offs as Pershore found themselves on the back foot but a fine defensive show from Darren Critcher and a second from Aldington ensured comfortable progress.
