A SOUL band's anniversary gig will be music to the ears of the Kemp Hospice after it raised £1,200 to boost the charity's coffers.
Six-piece Wyre Forest outfit Blind Lemon raised the money at the 10th anniversary event held on October 4 at Kidderminster Harriers social club in Hoo Road, Kidderminster.
Band lead guitarist Nick McCarthy said the group had wanted to put something back into the community by dedicating profits from the bash to the hospice.
The hospice will use the cash to help fund its planned move from its present Sutton Park Road base to bigger and better premises at the former Cedars Hotel in Mason Road, Kidderminster.
