GOLFERS from as far afield as Redditch got fund-raising down to a tee for the mayor's golf tournament in aid of the Stourport branch of the Royal British Legion.
And Mayor of Stourport Stephen Clee said he was thrilled more than 35 players had got into their swing for the event, which raised £200 for his chosen charity.
"It was £10 teeing off fee but that included a roast meal afterwards and I presented prizes to the best competitors," he said.
"It was a very nice day even though it was a bit cold."
Wedgwood porcelain mugs carrying the Stourport coat of arms are also on sale in aid of the charity in the Civic Centre, the Stourport branch of the Royal British Legion and Mantons and Bentleys in Stourport, he added.
