BIG band music lifted the roof of a Kidderminster ballroom last month - and inspired at least one couple to put their dancing shoes on after more than 15 years.
And organisers of the spectacular are keen to spread the word the NC Big Band will be swinging back into the Gilt Edge leisure centre every month.
The 19-piece band's first public appearance at the Zortech Avenue venue included music by legends Glenn Miller, Duke Ellington and Benny Goodman - and went down a treat.
"The band certainly made a favourable impact on its first appearance - and gave an appreciative audience a true taste of years gone by," the centre's company secretary Ron James said, addign their next concert is on Wednesday.
"Everybody had an absolutely great time.
"As one couple left the lady said 'this was the music we danced to in our courting days - we only came to listen but were soon tapping our feet and ended up dancing for the first time in 15 years'."
