ON A typical Autumn day, Dave Clarkson led the group of Cycle Stuff riders out of town on the B roads through Norton, Harvington and Bidford.
The undulating leafy lanes through the Graftons and Wilm-cote were next on route before the group headed north of Stratford to Snitterfield before turning for Hampton Lucy and on to Charlecote for coffee.
With a welcome tailwind, the return journey took the riders past Wellesbourne Airfield and into Loxley where they climbed into the Cotswolds via Alder-minster, Newbold-on-Stour, Armscote and Ilmington.
They then descended into Mickleton where the conditions turned wet when the pace quickened and the last few miles were covered at a brisk pace through Pebworth, the Littletons and Badsey before reaching Eve-sham having covered an enjoyable 55 miles.
