THANK you to all who participated in the service of remembrance last Sunday at our parish church and helped to make it such a very special occasion. Special thanks to Reverend Joy Birkin, Reverend Tim Wright (for the superb sermon), the benefice choir who sang so beautifully and Roger T, Roger G and Martin for the lessons and intercessions. After the service a wreath was laid at the memorial by Dr Dudley Heath (our oldest parishioner) aided by Mr E Hill. A moment that a lot of us will treasure.
Posters are now out and about advertising our concert on Thursday, December 11, at 7.30pm at Birtsmorton Church. Enjoy the warming sounds of Canterbury Brass Ensemble playing classical favourites and carols in candlelight, followed by mulled wine and mince pies. For tickets (adults £6, children/OAPs £4.50) call Kendall Wadley on 01684 892666 or Rosemarie Bolton on 01684 833287. Proceeds got to the church and the local branch of the Parkinsons Disease Society.
