NEARLY 50 members attended Bromesberrow Gardening and Social Club's meeting, when one of only three Honorary Life Members of the Royal Horticultural Society's prestigious orchid committee, Alan Greatwood, gave a presentation on orchids.
Mr Greatwood worked at Bromesberrow Place Nurseries for a large part of his career: there he developed the famous Bromesberrow orchid collection, which has now been presented to the Royal Horticultural Society.
Bromesberrow Ramblers will be meeting on Tuesday, November 25, at 2.30pm, at Bromesberrow Post Office.
The annual general meeting of the club will be held at the village hall at 8pm on Thursday, November 18, when the committee for the coming year will also be elected. There will be gardeners' question time with David Myers and a soup supper.
