ANGELS will fill a church at Earl's Croome in the new year as part of an exhibition of religious art.
The Host of Angels Experience comprises around 100 paintings and figures of angels inspired by artists throughout history, including Botticelli and Fra Angelico.
The husband and wife who have created all the pieces, Roger and Liz Heaton, visited St Nicholas' Church last week to talk to villagers about the exhibition.
The couple have exhibited at churches in Woodnewton, Northamptonshire and Lenton, in Lincolnshire and hope to bring the exhibition to Earl's Croome by spring next year.
The Rev. Chris Hardwick said that local support for the project was tremendous and he hoped it would be very significant for the county as a whole.
He said: "It will encourage people to visit the village and experience the church.
"We're working very closely with local people and there has been a tremendous show of goodwill towards the project."
