POWICK travelled to Brickfields for this Worcester Sunday League Division One match.

BLACKPOLE 1, POWICK 3

Blackpole, having beaten Pinvin the previous week, started confidently and pressurised the Powick defence at every opportunity.

In first half injury time Blackpole had a free kick just outside the box. The kick found Chris Harris who stabbed the ball home to make it 1-0.

At half-time Powick manager Carl Pitt had harsh words to say to the whole team. This seemed to do the trick because Powick came out with more purpose.

After 15 minutes Powick drew level. Powick's goal keeper kicked the ball down the right to Steve Hadley, he found Gary Henderson who crossed into the box for Chris Jones to head home. Five minutes later Blackpole had an excellent chance to increase their score but the point blank shot was excellently saved by Ade Whittal-Williams in the Powick goal.

On 70 minutes Powick took the lead when Bryan Craven won the ball in midfield went around two defenders and slotted the ball home for a fine individual goal.

Powick's third goal came when Ryan Dunn and Luke Dunn played the ball down the left for Lee Richardson to cross over for Bryan Craven to fire home his second goal.

This Sunday Powick are at home to Perrywood Reserves.
