JAN Molby believes his Kidderminster Harriers side have to get 'in amongst them' at Rochdale tomorrow.

The Aggborough director of football takes his team to Spotland as they continue their bid to battle out of Division Three relegation danger.

And Molby knows that a good start is vital to their chances.

"If we allow them to settle and dominate the game then we are going to make it difficult for ourselves," he said.

"Alan Buckley's sides are always good footballing teams and they are on a high after an excellent result in the FA Cup, beating Bury away.

"They will be neat and tidy and we have to get in amongst them because otherwise we are going to be on the back foot.

"If we can break up their play then I think we have enough ourselves to be a real threat to them.

"At the moment we are suited to going away from home. Aggborough doesn't hold that much fear for visitors and that's something we've got to change but for the time being, we are quite happy going away."

Molby is looking at a couple of players for a possible transfer swoop but is giving his team another chance to impress him before he makes a move.

He has been linked with Rushden and Diamonds striker Duane Darby and ex-Kidderminster man Richie Appleby who has been set a fitness deadline by Hull boss Peter Taylor as he continues to struggle with injury.

"There is a little bit of money available in the budget for two good players," he added.

"I have identified them and I'd like to think I can get them but before that, we'll see what the players can do at Rochdale."

Harriers won 1-0 at Rochdale last season thanks to a late Sam Shilton strike and they are boosted by the return of loan left back Steve Burton.

The home side welcome back former skipper Gary Jones. The Barnsley midfielder, recently placed on the transfer-list at Oakwell, has agreed a month's loan with Buckley.

Harriers' home game with Bristol Rovers on Sunday, December 28 will now kick-off at 1pm.
