NEW boss Dave Busst has moved to strengthen Evesham United's attack with the capture of Craig Pountney from Studley.

The former Moor Green and Bromsgrove Rovers forward is likely to start in the side's Dr Martens Western Division relegation scrap at Yate Town tomorrow (3pm).

Busst is hoping the striker can give the Robins added impetus up front.

"He's been a Golden Boot winner at Studley and I believe he can make an impact at this level," said Busst.

It's Busst's first game in charge and gives Evesham an early chance to chalk up a league double following their 2-1 win against Yate at Common Road two weeks ago, both goals scored by Sean Flynn.

"I watched Yate play at Bromsgrove and they are typical of a side that has been in this league for three or four years," added Busst.

"They get the ball forward quickly and compete which is what we have got to do.

"We've got some good quality in our side but we need to improve our work rate and earn the right before we can show our quality."

Evesham have fixed their Worcestershire Senior Cup quarter-final at home to Halesowen Town for Tuesday, December 9, while their Boxing Day home clash with Cinderford has been moved back a day to Saturday, December 27.
