IT'S an early start for Worcester Wolves Basketball Club tomorrow as they look to make it three wins out of three in the National League Division Two.
Their home clash with Northampton Neptunes gets under way at 3pm rather than their usual evening start, as the sports hall at University College Worcester has been pre-booked.
But player-coach Rick Solvason is confident the different matchday routine won't affect his players.
He said: "Our normal routine is a bit changed, but we have already played afternoon games away from home this season so that is not going to cause any problems."
Solvason is more concerned at whether his players can continue their good form after a two-week lay-off.
He added: "It is nice to keep ticking over week after week but I am sure the guys have used the break to their advantage.
"We have a big run of games coming up between now and Christmas. Training was pretty intense last night and the guys are looking forward to getting back on court and playing the game."
Solvason admits that newly-promoted Northampton are something of a mystery side, but Wolves should be confident of success as the visitors have won only one of their three league games.
He added: "They are a bit of an unknown team for us. Very few people have any real first-hand information on them but they haven't been that successful so far this season.
"We certainly aren't underestimating them but we are hoping to do well."
Wolves have no injury worries and will keep their tried and trusted starting five of recent weeks, comprising American aces Josh Cooprider and Ty Shaw as well as home-grown stars Colin Chiverton, Dave Jones and Wayne Robinson.
"We have got off to some pretty good starts," said Solvason, "and each of the guys has a key role to play in the early stages."
Wolves return to their normal 7pm start next Saturday when they entertain Liverpool in a Patrons Cup group match.
Wolves' women have no game this weekend. They suffered a double defeat in National Division Two North last week, going down 83-50 at Nottingham and 73-44 at home to Northumbria.
