AN MP dropped in to see how a vital service supporting crime victims operates.
Mid-Worcestershire MP Peter Luff met with staff and volunteers at Worcestershire's Victim Support and Witness Service.
His visit to Worcester's High Street office, was part of MPs Day, which was held at local victim support branches across England and Wales.
The event was designed to give MPs a greater insight into how the charity's local services provide information, support and practical help to those affected by crimes, including burglary, hate crime, sexual assault, domestic violence and homicide.
"My team of 12 staff and 140 volunteers work tirelessly to provide an excellent service to help the constituents of all Worcestershire's MPs," said Tony Breeze, area manager of Victim Support Worcestershire."I'm delighted Mr Luff accepted the invitation to find out more about our work.
"Nationally, thousands of unpaid volunteers devote their time to helping people in their local communities.
"In other words, they are the lifeblood of victim support."
