I SEE Dennis Taylor of South Australia suggests that you should be given the birch and not just have a slap on the wrist.
I agree - I think the cane should be used in schools as it was many years ago. I had the cane in 1926 for talking but I never had it again! I was just four-and-a-half.
A teacher is on trial once again for slapping a child and it is wrong - a slap does no harm.
