JASPER Christiansen has returned home to Denmark after a trial with Kidderminster Harriers -- but Jan Molby would be delighted to have him back on a permanent basis.
The 23-year-old impressed the Harriers director of football so much that he admits there's a 'good chance' that his fellow countryman will link up with the Aggborough outfit.
Molby said: "He trained with us last week and he's made an impression. He went back to Denmark on Sunday, but it's something that we are trying to pursue. We have liked what we have seen. I knew already prior to him coming over that we would like to sign him, but we gave him an opportunity to have a little look at us as well.
"Obviously, it would be a massive change in his life if he decides to come to England, but we are very keen and he seems quite keen as well."
Six footer Christiansen is currently with Danish Super League side OB Odense Molby has also confirmed that would be interested in bringing former Harriers midfielder Richie Appleby back to Aggborough if he ever became available.
The ex-Liverpool star said: "I was asked the question and I was never going to deny I have always liked Richie as a player, but he's still under contact to Hull City.
"All I said was he's a good player and if he was available and he was fit then we would be interested. He's an impact player. If he plays he gives you an increased chance of winning the game. I understand that whatever club he's at he's not going to play 46 league games a season, but the games he plays in he'll give you quality."
Molby, meanwhile, has no new injury worries ahead of Saturday's Nationwide League Division Three clash against Torquay United at Aggborough when Harriers will be bidding to put more light between themselves and the relegation zone.
He said: "The gap is now four points which means if we were to lose we are not going to drop back into the bottom two. But we need to improve and we need some points to move away as quickly as we can."
