HEREFORD United defender Andy Tretton has suffered another setback with the news he requires a scan on his troublesome thigh.
The 27-year-old had nursed faint hopes of facing his former club Shrewsbury Town on Saturday but those have been dashed and a hospital appointment looms instead.
The former Gay Meadow captain has been forced to endure a frustrating two-month spell on the sidelines since sustaining the thigh injury in the 4-1 defeat at Burton on September 19.
Despite lengthy treatment, including a spell at Lilleshall's Football Centre of Excellence, Tretton has failed to recapture full fitness.
