REDDITCH MP Jacqui Smith has done her bit to help boost the coffers of the Alexandra Hospital's League of Friends fund.
On Monday, Ms Smith went to the office to give the Friends all the used stamps she has collected in her constituency office.
Collecting stamps is a major method by which the charity raises cash and over the years, it has raised more than £2 million from the stamp appeal and several others.
Ms Smith said: "I get hundreds of letters a week and the stamps are worth money to organisations like the League of Friends.
"I hope other businesses in Redditch will save their stamps and help our hospital.
"Over the years, the League of Friends has raised over £2 million through their fund-raising efforts by running the caf in the hospital, selling second-hand books, running the annual fete and by collecting stamps.
"They are an absolute credit to the town and vital to adding those extras to the hospital which make all the difference."
Anyone who would like to donate their used stamps to help can drop them off at the Woodrow Drive building or send them in an envelope marked for the attention of the League of Friends office.
