Feckenham 0
Meir 0
FECKENHAM boss Lee Adams described Lee Bosnan as 'silly' after he was sent off in Saturday's goalless Midland Combination Premier draw with Meir.
Bosnan was given a straight red before half-time after kicking out at an opponent which Adams later described as sheer 'petulance'.
"He deserved to go," admitted Adams. "It was really silly stuff from him - he was petulant."
Meir arrived with only 11 fit players - including their manager - but the home side were devoid of ideas, according to Adams as they failed to find the net.
It was Meir who twice came closest to breaking the deadlock when first Darren Johnson's shot struck the post on 54 minutes and then Kevin Graham was denied by the woodwork 15 minutes before the end as home 'keeper James Hayden made some crucial saves. In reply, Dave Gorlan did have an effort cleared off the line.
Second-placed Feckenham now travel to bogey side Bolehall on Saturday hoping to break a remarkable record. The Millers have never won a competitive match against them but Adams hopes that the return of the experienced Brian Powell, Simon Redhead and Mark Davis will change that.
