DROITWICH Spa boss Kevin Blaber (pictured) believes his side was robbed of victory amid controversy in his side's 0-0 draw at Continental Star Reserves.
With last Saturday's game evenly poised and ten minutes left, Greg Thomas headed the ball over the advancing home goalkeeper only to see the linesman flag Dave Knight offside, adjudging him to be interfering with play.
Blaber fumed: "It was blatantly obvious it wasn't offside. We were definitely robbed of three points and we deserved the three points."
Both teams worked hard in a tight Midland Combination division two match but Spa had the stronger finish with Wise in particular causing Continental problems on the right wing.
Alex Kolb also impressed for Spa after making the step up from the reserves while goalkeeper Simon Williams made important saves early in the game.
Spa were forced to name just two substitutes, including the manager, in order to loan back some players to the reserves, originally borrowed as injury over, as they only had nine men.
l Spa's reserves failed in the defence of their Bayliss Cup title, won in May, after crashing 5-0 at Hallow last Saturday.
