DEAR EDITOR - It's all too easy to complain about the state of the NHS and other health care services in England, but I wonder how many people are aware that ordinary members of the public not only have a chance to voice their concerns, but actually make changes to how our health service is run.
Patient and Public Involvement (PPI) Forums are being established all across England and looking for members of the public and patients to have a voice on health matters in their local communities.
It doesn't matter who you are and what you do, as long as you're over 18, have a couple of hours a week to spare and have a real desire to make an impact on how our health services are run to make changes that can change lives.
So if you have an opinion about health services or simply feel passionate about helping your local community, you now have the chance to be part of a Local Patient and Public Forum. To apply either call 0845 120 7115 or log onto www.maketimeforhealth.org
